I have one large marble black one in my tank that seems to think that half the aquarium is his so all the other fish take to the other half most of the time. I wanted to add maybe 2 smaller angels to the tank to give him something else to focus on but after reading all this i think i'm better...

Recently got rid of my 7 tiger barbs because they were a keeping my elephant nose from feeding. They would eat all the bloodworms before he even got a chance to have any. I had also recently added some red/bleu tetras but everynight one would disappear. With the tiger bars always so aggressive...

:-/ mine doesn't try to nip them he just bumps into them. Might have to give him away then... Guess i'll try adding a few more hiding places so they can try to stay out of each others way.

If by tomorrow its not safe i'll get a few gallins of drinking water at the supermarket. does drinking water need to be dechlorinated too ?

Yes I have a large air Stone and I also just cleaned the gravel and it lowered the water 2 inches form base of filter back so now it splashes a bit more air into the water.

Smoke (my elephant nose fish) is acting up because of his new tank mates (4 clown small loaches). He was always very calm and stayed at the bottom of the tank in his little area now he wants the hole tank to himself. 50 gal with 7 tigers, 1 angel, 5 clown loaches, 4 zebra danios and 2 mollies...
