I don't have much of an idea about the deaths of the fish other than: is there enough surface tension break? And also does she use any plant food in the tank? I experienced a bunch of deaths when I started using plant food for mine I believed because the heavy metals were too much for my fish...

They have actually been little pigs! I bought frozen baby brine shrimp, and they ate it like crazy. They've also eaten pellets and peas. :) they're doing pretty great. :)
I don't have an all platy tank, I have them in with guppies, a gourami, and some bottom feeders. No matter how clean my water is, no matter my how good my parameters I can't keep my platies happy. They are always clamping.
