Hey thanks for answering so swiftly, the shrimps went in Sunday, all gone by Monday, the guppies, loaches and baby mollies mouths are too small so it must be the BN catfish.....oh well they were fed well that evening :-(
Would bristle nose catfish eat cherry red shrimps? Upon advice from my local shop I removed the six mollies from my tank leaving four baby mollies, six guppies, three bristle nose catfish and two clown loaches but all six of the shrimps disappeared in one night, the catfish are approx three...
Sounds like a plan, just about to do a 30% change now will keep testing and keeping my fingers crossed, all the fish seem to be smiling even the bristle nose :-)
Hi, the Guppys have been in the tank five weeks,was cycled for a couple of weeks before that, the first test results were all negative as far as ammonia, nitrate and nitrite, the PH always been high due to Adelaide's poor water.

I wonder if you wonderful people could look at my test results I've just taken and let me know if there's anything to worry about:-
PH. 7.4
Ammonia. 0.25 ppm
Nitrite. 0
Nitrate. 20 ppm
70 litre tank with 8 Guppys, 1bristle nose catfish and 5 Cherry Red Shrimps 3 plants been going two...
Update on my new tank, three weeks in four plants looking healthy, eight guppys all happy, PH still a little high but ammonia, nitrites and nitrates all good :-)
I have just realised that the Seaview Aquarium is the one we went to on Anzac and I agree it has a massive selection and always very busy, a beautiful selection of fish too. :-)
Funny but the guy we bought him from for $30 was keeping him in a tank half the size of our 300L one and it was full of stuff that gave him very little room, hopefully he will flourish in ours.
