Just the usual feeding and fert dosing today, but I'm liking the way the tank is filling in where the Amazon swords were removed. Planted some rotala rotundifolia in the background and rotala indica in between the left driftwood pieces. Going to continue pruning and replanting them.to start...
I'd stick with getting more corys. Doesn't have to necessarily be peppered if you want variety. The synodontis will get too big on its own, let alone trying to keep a group of then.
EI water change Sunday, and then some. :)
Installed a lily pipe (early Father's Day gift to myself), and then kicked off a major rescape to half the tank. Pulled out the two Amazon swords, they were getting way too big. Couldn't believe the root system on those things! Nearly dragged the...
I researched last night and thought maybe as well. It isn't, but closely related, come to find out. I heard back from the seller today and they said it is lagenandra meeboldii. I didn't know anything about it, but quick research says it's related to the crypt family. Not sure if it's going...
I ordered some dwarf pennywort online, but received a different plant. Seller refunded me the money and I get to keep what I got, but I have no clue what it is. Originally thought it was staurogyne repens when it was in the cup, but upon taking it out, I'm now pretty sure it's not. What say you?

In prep of the vacation, I dosed about 25-35% more ferts the last two days prior, and then curtailed the lighting by two hours each day. I also made a "blind" out of some...
Upgraded to this new auto timer, two independently controlled outlets. Seems to have recently come out for sale on Amazon because I didn't see this when I was shopping for one last fall.
Only $16, so I'll give it a shot. The one it's replacing was dual outlet but couldn't be independently...
Haven't posted here in a while. In on day 9 of my first into EI fertilization using GLA micros and macros. A bit too early to say, but seems the plants are looking a lot more vibrant.
Hi! I should have more in a few weeks. They're thinned out for now, and I'm travelling all next week. When I get back I should have enough grown back to send some out.
I've bought shrimp twice off of eBay, different sellers, with success and no DOAs. Both threw in an extra shrimp just in case, and everything was very well packed. Seems that high rated sellers know how to pack everything for transport, so it comes down to the price that's right for you.
