I'll have to buy one to see. That wouldn't really explain the 48 hours of the fish losing color and eyes going cloudy though. I'm wondering if it was the new filter. I rinsed it but should I have washed it with something? I rinsed the sponge etc and filled with de chlorinated water

Measured ammonia, nitrite & nitrate when I got home from work. Today ammonia is still at 2.0, 0 nitrite, 5.0 nitrate. Normal for it to stay the same?

I've been cycling my tank since August 5th. I measure daily with API master test kit. I cannot get nitrites!!!! My ammonia is at 2.0, ( added ammonia yesterday) and my nitrites are at zero as well as nitrates. Why isn't it converting? I used dr tims one & only & their ammonia drops.

Here is the water in my fishless cycling I was speaking of in my earlier post. Notice water looks clear under LEDs, clear under moon light, but cloudy under acnitic light. Wasn't like this at the beginning......

Odd thing is when I set up my tank ( before putting anything in except dechlorinator, my water was clear with my LED lights as well as acnitic. Now the water still looks fabulously clear with my LED but hazy with the acnitic
