    Here snaily snaily snaily

Good call. Came home from dinner and he was on the glass. Wonder where he went?

    Here snaily snaily snaily

My Nerite snail has disappeared. 10 gallon tank with guppies and the snail. I have search through the tank. I shuffled through the top of the substrate (large natural looking large substrate from petco or petsmart), thinking maybe he got stuck under the rocks. Looked around plants, the filter...

    The ole 10 gallon question!

Thanks! I ended up not going with a cobra. I got a stunning black tuxedo guppy, that go well with the yellow, blue, and red-gold tuxedo guppy! And a Ruby Nerite Snail on the bottom!

    Feeding Algae to Snails.

Okay. Thanks. I will let the Nerite do his/her thing. The tank has been set up for 16 months or so, so I guess that's established, and we started it as a guppy tank three weeks ago.

    Feeding Algae to Snails.

Hi Folks, Thanks for all of your help so far! I have a 10 g tank with 4 guppies and 1 ruby nerite snail. My tank does not have a lot of algae, so I bought all vegetable algae discs to feed the snail. The only thing is that the snail doesn't show a lot of interest in the algae discs. I will...

    Blanching Vegetables

Thanks! How often do I feed one Nerite Snail? How many peas do I feed the snail?

    Blanching Vegetables

Hi Guys, So I just got a Tiger Nerite Snail for my 10 g guppy tank. I am not sure there is much algae, and I want to make sure he/she doesn't starve. How do you recommend I blanch vegetables for the snail? What vegetables are acceptable? How often do I feed? Thanks in advance!

    Sick Guppy

Well. That's it. Netted him out with zero response. Put him in frigid water just in case, but I am confident he was dead already. I am thinking it is wise to wait awhile (2 weeks?) until I add more guppies, and watch to make sure the two remaining guppies are healthy. I want to thank you all...

    Sick Guppy

Thanks. I think mother nature has solved my dilemma for me. I think he's dead. :( I will put him in near frozen water just to be sure. I have never euthanized a fish either.

    Sick Guppy

Thanks for your help guys. Now he is going alternating through spurts of floating in the water/laying in the substrate, and swimming erratically and aggressivly and bumping into things. I hesitate to raise the issue. At what point do I euthanize? I would put the fish in nearly frozen water.

    Sick Guppy

Thanks! I am sorry, but I am still new to this. What do you mean by clamped? Anything I can do? Now he is nearly motionless on the bottom. Still gulping though, but I am suspecting he is past the point of no return... :( Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again?

    Sick Guppy

Hi guys, I have a sick guppy and I was hoping you could help. It's a 10 gallon tank 0 Ammonia (or darn close to it, well under 0.25), 0 Nitrite, 20 Nitrates. I use API liquid test. Three male guppies in tank, which were added about 10 days ago. No other fish. Tank has been set up for a...

Does angels and koi fish mix?

Cool! Always feel free to bounce ideas off people on the site. They are very generous with their knowledge: I have learned a lot. For instance, when I started keeping fish, I kept fish in a 10 g, which needed larger because they were active swimmers (serpae tetra). I kept them against the advice...

Does angels and koi fish mix?

Welcome aboard. I don't want to be a downer, and I am no Koi expert at all, but they can get to be over 3 feet long. A 75 gallon tank is only 4 feet long and 1.5 feet wide. While angels can thrive in a 75, I am seriously doubting the koi can. I hope some koi experts will join in.
