Very strange results when I searched the images on google. Most of the images look like the normal "run of the mill" red bubbly slimy algae. There were a few images that looked very similar to what I have and when I went to the site that referenced the image they were also confused.

Don't know any other way of describing this except by saying its a redish-purple bubble looking thing with orange spots. It's been in my tank for a while. It grew in size and then stopped and has stayed the same for a few weeks. Any ideas?

Some species are very harmful to SPS corals and zoanthids. Better to pull them out. I had an infestation that killed my acro and almost killed my GSP.
