I don't think the levels of copper trapped would be harmful to inverts. The silicone wouldn't hold enough to actually damage anything that could be put in the tank

Thinking about using the 40 MDRLXT, would this be okay? The SWCD says it can't more than 5 psi, so would this pump eb okay with it. I guess the switching would be fast on the SWCD since it will be very close to 1400. Swift

I know, I just wanted to get as much flow through my tank possible. The SCWD has inputs and outputs of 3/4 inch. The pump has 1 inch, do I have to get a pump to match this or by going from 1 inch to 3/4 will it bring the flow down some. Thanks for the help darb Swift

My head height is about 5 feet. 3 feet of stand and 2 feet of tank. I have to size the pump large enough for the overflow but the scwd can only handle 1400gph. So its hard to find a size that matches. Right now i'm thinking i mgiht split the return before the scwd and have part of it go back...

More flow, two power heads probably won't be enough in a 150 unless you've got a large return pump and overflow. Well tahts for a reef, with a FO you'd be fine.

I am about to plumb the return for my 120 gallon tank and I am considering using two pumps. At first I was just going to use one return pump and have it to go through a spray bar. After seeing a timer that has 15 minute intervals I thought it might be a good idea to alternate between two pumps...

So would it be better to keep a dsb in a fuge than in the main tank? That way the fuge could use the dsb and the display tank would only need a few inches.

If you used a few sponges couldn't you transfer 2 or 3 between the quarantine and the fuge/main tank, that way he would cosntantly have a fresh supply of pods? Then just keep changing so he gets more? Just an idea, I don't even have water in my tank yet. So don't lsiten to me :?

Nobody seems to have a long cycle if they add in fresh live rock. because the bacteria is already there. Especially from LR.com when it is shipped over night.

I just got a similiar setup on ebay. Very good easy to work with and install. I did mine in less than 30 minutes and i'm a teenager. So you should figure it out pretty easily. Came in handy during the hurrricane. Swift

look at recent forecasts its supposed to be turning north. I'm in St. Augustine so I don't want it up here either. It looks like it might go up and turn, type water vapor in at yahoo and you'll find a the water vapor radar map. It shows how its pulling it north east. I just hope it turns away...
