Orandas are perfectly fine with other fancies and they won't be at any disadvantage at feeding time. They also can, in fact, get quite large.

Get a bottle of Prime and use it to detoxify the ammonia and nitrite while you're cycling. Follow the instructions. The ammonia will still be available to feed the cycle but won't be harmful to the fish. I hope this helps :)

Goldfish will be perfectly fine at 72, but they're better off by themselves. I would strongly recommend changing at least 75% of the water weekly.
Large stones will take up a fair amount of space, cutting down on room for the fish, so take that into consideration. The biggest risk is moving...
It's kind of like a pimple of blemish, just like people get. Occasionally one of my goldfish will get one of these. They clear up on their own. As long as they have clean fresh water they should be just fine.

You can use the heat and salt method or if you prefer a medication, Aquarium Products Quick Cure or Kordon's Rid Ich+ work very well.

Check for ammonia and nitrite in a few days just in case the filter isn't fully cycled. Fingers crossed that everything will be fine.
