    Cycle Issues, Need Help..

Hello, so I'm having some issues with my fishless cycle in my planted 10 gallon tank. I use an API freshwater master kit. I'm on the 22nd day of my cycle, which started with treated tap water and a bottle of Dr. Tims live bacteria. I use pure ammonia to feed the bacteria, dosing up to 2ppm as...

    INSANE Nitrite Spike???! Need Help

Hey all, so I'm in the middle of fishless cycling a 10gal tank for my betta, and in the meantime I've been keeping him in a temporary 1gal tank. On the 9th of April I setup a brand new 5.5 gallon tank to temporarily house the betta in. I did bring over the heater from the cycling 10gal and some...

What did I do wrong in my new 5 gallon tank?

If you can't provide a stable temperature environment for the tank then you need a heater for the tank. Keeping the temperature stable is very important especially for the Betta, who needs a pretty constant 76-80F. If you have a heater with a thermostat, you shouldn't need to turn it off during...

Question about my 10g fishless cycle

Yo, so I'm starting up a 10g planted tank and doing a fishless cycle on it. I'm using Dr. Tims one and only in hopes of speeding up the cycle and using Dr Tims Ammonium Chloride to feed the bacteria. I followed the dosing instructions on the bottle which should have brought the tank to 2ppm...

    Ich on betta please help!

Um no one answered but I thought I would wrap up the thread. All the ich is off of my betta, but one of the shrimp did die, due to the heat I suppose. I will keep the heat up for 10 more days and then slowly bring it down. /thread
