    Is this a brittle star???

I think this is the case with me, too. I have had brittle stars in the past, so I know what they look like. I definitely have about 3 of them living inside of the rock and sticking their arms out when the lights go out. I think it is from when I bought the rock. There were about 10 brittle...

Yellow Tang - Not so yellow

My yellow tang had some yed marks that started on her nose/forehead and spread to the rest of her body. I started putting a few drops of zoe (liquid supliment in a bottle) on her nori before feeding, and upped her feeding and it went away. She is fine now. Check her out at...

    Sick Tang?

Mine had the same problem a few days ago. I started treating her food with Zoe and making sure she had enough to eat every day, and it has now gone away. I think it was just malnutrition. Might wanna try this one first before quarantiening her . . . HTH, Todd

    yellow tang acting strangely

Well, I got the Zoe and am using it. She seems to like it. But you can't see her anymore - she's in the show tank now. I got a 1.5" long baby regal tang in the quarantien tank now. Feel free to check her out. http://www.toddwess.com/fish.html :) Todd

Thanks Steve - I'll try that. Can you give me a good example of a fortified food? Just feeding nori right now. Thanks, Todd

    yellow tang acting strangely

She is also VERY RED along the point where her dorsal fin comes in contact with her body. Very red along the whole place where the fin comes in contact with the body. Anyone else have this redness? Does it go away? Thanks, Todd

    yellow tang acting strangely

I hope that's all it is. She is a little on the 'slow' side! :) I'll keep an eye on her . . . Thanks again! Todd

    yellow tang acting strangely

Can someone log into . . . http://www.toddwess.com/fish.html and watch my Yellow Tang for about 5 or 10 minutes and tell me if she is acting strangely? She just sits close to the top of the tank by the heater, and stays there for most of the day. She has been in quarantien for 17 days now...

    Yellow Tang with red splotch

But what do I put in it? Spirulina flakes or little pieces of nori? That is my big question - what do I feed her while I'm out? Thanks, Todd

    Yellow Tang with red splotch

Thanks for this, Kevin. I was afraid this is what it might be. I'm planning a trip out of town for 4 days and was trying to think of a way to feed her (Linda the Tang) while I was gone and that is why I tried out the Spirulna flakes. Any advice on how to feed a tang when you will be gone for...
