I have several generations of Kribs in two tanks. I notice that they pair off much easier in larger schools. So maybe just add a few more males and let them sort it out. From your description these are very young fish, be prepared to wait several months before they take to mating.
I have somewhat been dreading to post this question. I am in the info gathering stage of transforming a 29g fresh into a reef, and what do you suppose has happened? With all this new found knowledge I have become a danger to myself.
I would like to eventually have both LPS and SPS. Great. MH and...
eco-complete can be had for $20-25 for 20# and aquariumplants.com has there own substrate for the planted tank also. Maybe someone who has used that will let us know what they thought of it. I would check your LFS for eco and then do an internet price check.
set-up can be purchased from a lot of online vendors. The best deals are always on Ebay and Craigslist. But if you want a new set-up any of the big pet retailers will do. I personally bought both my 5# and 10# from aquariumplants.com. At the time I got it with free shipping. If you have to...
How old are the bulbs? Have you tried skipping iron? While I was dosing iron on my co2 injected 30g with 60w of T5 I got terrible hair algae. No problems after I stopped dosing and removed what was left. But I mention the bulbs because as they age the output can vary significantly. From what...
ya... Both are producing consistent bps. so I don't know that I should worry. I just wonder what would cause it to happen to two regs around the same time.
The main valve on the tank is all the way open and the black knob on the reg screwed in til i just started to get a flow. When I disconnected the regs the gauge backed off the pin about half an inch. Wonder what it's going to entail to reset. Thanks for the help.
Did my water change for the week and noticed that the right side valve of my co2 reg (low pressure valves?) was beyond the area of marked measurement and butting up against the low-level pin. This was true of both my 5lb and my 10lb. Both are milwaukee regs with solenoid. I disconnected and...
The filter stays primed unless you empty the intake hose, which you only need to when/if you clean the hose. And when priming your filling only the length of the hose. I have/had a few Renas and I love em.
I would buy a fixture that fits and just use one bulb for plant light. 50/50 daylight bulb and one actinic bulb. This way you'll only be getting half the wattage of the fixture and can upgrade with just a bulb purchase. That one 50/50 bulb should keep you in low light territory...
