I have a 30" tall 50 gallon with two pipe fish, gorgonian corals and four black Brazilian seahorses (H. Reidi), two female and two male.
I got a surprise when I checked the tank last Thursday morning; a tank full of seahorse fry. I got all of them into a 5 gallon and they were looking great...
Maybe we are talking about a different trigger. This is the one I'm looking at:

As far as tank size they say 70 gallon, I assume that is for an adult fish, at the lengh of a foot???
My plan was to get one 2" or so. If it out...
I've had a rose bulb anemone and a maroon clown in my community tank for a couple of years now. Everyone got along fine untill the recent addition of a lemon peel angel. My clown got very aggressive and nearly killed his new tank mate...
I moved the clown and his anemone to a new 30...
Found this guy on some base rock today. Pretty sure it's a starfish??? about 1/2" across.
Any idea where he came from? I have a sand shifting star, can they multiply/give birth/lay eggs???
I'm by no means an expert, but I would not move him. May do more damage than good.
I have a bta as well, and mine did the same thing. Turned out he was hungry. Try feeding him some silversides or even frozen brine shrimp. I did, and he came back out and is healthy as ever.
I had thought all...
My lfs has one that I have a hold on. He's about 2 to 2 1/2 inches. I know these guys eat inverts in the wild and I am wondering if it's a good idea to put him in my tank with my cleaner shrimp.
The cleaner is actually the same size or bigger than the lion. I'm thinking of getting a few ghost...
I have two shrimp in my 51 gallon corner tank as well as 3 tangs and damsels. I also have a purple gregorian coral and everyone is healthy and doing well.
The cleaner shrimp and camel shrimp shed their skin on a regular basis about once every 3 weeks. I have been chasing the skins around every...
Thanks for all the help guys! And thanks for Karen's site as well.
I did a 20% water change and that seemed to perk him up a bit. After reading up on Karen's site, I decided to try feeding him. I had some enriched frozen brine shrimp in the freezer, and managed to get it past the fish :roll...
Thanks for the help. Is that his foot in the picture?
I'm just concerned as he is about 3" across now, and when he was fully in the light he was at least 6"-7"
I sure hope he's ok. I moved the rock he was on as he was completly in the shade, now he's getting light.
Good idea, or bad...
I have had a rose bulb anenome in the tank for about a month now. He's been healthy, curls up at night and comes out with nice full bulbs when the high output floresents are on.
Yesterday, he went on the move and moved about 10" to another rock. When I got home from work today, at first I...
You can, but you'll still probably have to adjust it a bit.
They're just not a set it and forget it piece of equipment.
Still have to check on them from time to time to insure they are getting the right amount of gunk in the cup...
