I had the same problem with my armored pleco I used a set up similar to the bag set up.

Yeah I have my heaters on a half hour on half hour off timer. And they are on the lowest setting I'm looking at 2° per hour.

Thanks alot for the help. I haven't been at this very long. Power is back on. My tank temps were below 64. (thats as low as my thermometer goes). I plan on doing a 50 pwc when the water temp levels out.

Power has been out for two days. Water changes for oxygen. I have a canister filter.not worries about the media. Thanks I'll look into the battery powered pumps.

I work. So what I do is I boil water and us that to heart up my water change buckets a few degrees. I have a 55 gal with 7 baby cichlids and a ten gal with guppies. Doing 2 to three 10% water changes a day

I live in the tacoma area and my cichlids need a bigger tank and was wondering if anyone had advice on where I can get my materials at an affordable price. Tank only has to last a year till I get back from afghanistan.

Is love to have a tiger. However I livre in an apartment and they limit my tank size to 100 gal. I'm still going to build my 200 and let them think it's a hundred. Currently holding a baby jack demsey and six baby africans in my 55gal. Neither of them mess worth either but if I throw 7 guppies...

I'm breaking all kinds of rules in my tank. I have one 55 gal. With one jack demsey, six african cichlids, and an armored pleco. Planted with one anubius, an amazon sword and 11 of it's offspring. And a ten gallon with 12 guppies, a ghost shrimp (the other five died) planted with one amazon sword.

I notice my tank gets a little cloudy when I use too much fertilizer. I'm no expert either but my water looked exactly like yours did till I my fert dose in half.

I have an aqueon 48 in dual bulb light on my tank. One bulb is a standard t5, 29 watt, 6500 k. The other is the 29 watt color max t5 kelvin unknown. The anubius is on the to of a rock. The sword is in the gravel. I use seachem iron and potassium liquid fert. The sword has put out 11 offspring...
