hi, thanks for writing! This is the only response I've had! This pic does make the fish look overly pink, but he is just a plain whiteskirt (was labelled a whiteskirt, and also looks like every other ws I'd had). The flesh around the fin is very pink and also kind of looks like he's losing...

Sorry, I can't post all my specs right now, but has anyone seen this before? All my other fish are healthy. He's had it about 10 days. I just dosed the whole tank with Melafix for 7 days and did an h2o change, but it didn't help. This photo is horrible, i'm sorry, i'll try again...

in the picture you can see that it almost looks like her gill got ripped off and the pink flesh is poking out. But she also has 2 pink patches on her side where it looks like scales fell off, so not sure what to make of it.

Hi again, sorry it's been so long. Ok, been doing the regular water changes. She's still hanging in there, but not improving. I don't think the salt/Melafix is helping. I have her photo uploaded in an album called "sick fish" --can I put it right on this thread (if so, how??)?

Thanks for replying. wow, WEEKLY 50% changes? I've never heard that before. (neither that much water nor that frequently) Do you mean just for a short time on the main tank? But I'll try it on both. I have aquarium salt so will try that too. Good to know that the lower temp may be good...
