I want a school of fish, tightly schooling fish. Like those sardines or something you see in ocean documentary. I tried Neon tetra, black neon tetra, white cloud (all 10+ when I tried), but in my opinion they school rather too 'loosely'. Any recommendations? TIA-

I don't see a problem either, especially when I think how other commercial feeds are made. Actually I may even think it's better compared to buying live feeder fish or even any kind of feed from store (assuming that you are treating them humanely). Locally grown feed - it's greener as well!

I have read many sources saying that a bit of salt in fresh water is beneficial. Be it controversial in its truth, I decided to give it a try with some non-iodized 'Kosher salt'. But I'm not sure how much salt is safe? On a sidenote, will it affect the pH? Any comments will be appreciated...

Well, moved a great distance (over 1500 miles) with my 30 gal tank, stayed a year in an apartment that would not allow tanks larger than 10 gal, and finally last night the tank holds water again. Yay! However, I found that the suction cups for my heater are gone. I went to the LFS today...
