    Angelfish Hole In Head?

Thanks again Andy! The holes don't seem to have changed size at all. Will they heal over? Another article I was reading said the scarring would be permanent.

    Angelfish Hole In Head?

Ah I see! Thanks Andy!! Picked up some NLS pellets- but no luck finding plain metronidazole. Can General Cure be mixed in with their food? I'm not sure what a good ratio of GC to pellet would be- not terribly much info out there on the concept either.

    Angelfish Hole In Head?

Great! Thanks guys! I've ordered some NLS pellets, so they'll be getting the good stuff soon! I wish it was just a few too many cheese burgers! But these are definitely holes. I've upped my water changes- with a little help from the canister filter hose that slipped its bracket! Staying off...

    Angelfish Hole In Head?

I finished the directed treatment with general cure- but today I noticed that one has white and stringy poop.... So I suppose GC + Melafix did not do the trick. I can't find medicated food- does anyone have experience soaking flake/pellets in metronidazole?

    Angelfish Hole In Head?

I'm looking into getting some other flake foods or pellets. Do you guys know which size pellet angelfish usually take? I'm not sure if .5mm or 1mm would be best..

    Angelfish Hole In Head?

Thanks for your help!! I usually feed Omega Color Flakes, and introduced the frozen brine shrimp & carnivore food for some variety. The frozen foods seem to be a vastly less full of protein than the flake food- is there a reason many things I've read boast about frozen foods? I'll...

    Angelfish Hole In Head?

These two are about half a year old now I believe? Maybe a month or two older. I only started feeding them frozen foods a month ago however. Tank is 40g (taller rather than longer). Tank-mates are: x3 Congo Tetra X2 Diamond Tetra X4 Glowlight Tetras I haven't seen any aggression...

    Angelfish Hole In Head?

Hey all! Recently noticed some strange marks in the backs of my two Philippine Blue Angels. Thinking it's hole in the head disease and was wondering if anyone here could confirm my suspicions? Water quality in my tank is as good as ever- no new fish- thinking the only thing that's different...

    Angelfish Help

Lost the other baby angelfish today, so I guess that rules out anything General Cure would have gotten. I ordered them from a very reliable breeder who I've had success with in the past, I fully believe the fish were at peak health when shipped- shipping must have been rougher this time...

    Angelfish Help

Hi all! I recently got a 6 dime-sized angelfish and had them in a 10 gal quarantine tank. When I opened their box, they did not look great and I think they might have been tossed about alot in shipping but I figured a little time would fix them up. Drip acclimated them, did not feed. All...

    Quality goldfish /suppliers/breeders suggestions?

Yea these'll be pond fish. We wouldn't be looking to buy them until spring/summer, just curious if there are any places/sites to keep our eyes on! And we're something like the Greater- greater Philadelphia area, if that helps.

    Quality goldfish /suppliers/breeders suggestions?

Not sure where this thread belongs, my apologies if this is incorrect. I've been hunting around the local chain petstores trying to find some nice metallic scaled calico/shubunkin goldfish, but to no avail! Was wondering if any of you sharp eyed fellows had any suggestions for online vendors...

    Speculating a Biocube 29

I'm fine with the rocks and sand taking up volume! I'm still wondering how I'm going to lug ~20 jugs of distilled water in from the grocery store... I've heard some wonderful things about clowns, but also some problems. They aren't a nessessity to me, so I think I'll leave them out for now...

    Speculating a Biocube 29

Ah, silly advertisers. I guss that takes angels and other 30 gallon fish off list! May I ask if the display area only allows 20 gallons, or does the entire tank only take 20 gallons to fill? Clowns seem to be a bit more aggressive than I origionally thought (and alot of them get big at that)...

    Speculating a Biocube 29

Oh man, thank you! That clears up alot, alot! Do you think that a Pink Skunk Clown fish at 4" would be suited for the tank, or the even smaller 3" breeds? Shame the Tomatoes get too big, they are beautiful. Do you think a dwarf angel would be comfortable in a 29 Gal tank? Again thank you!
