I have a 100 gallon tank. It has been up for two months. I have a couple of mollies just to sar the cycle. It has allready cycled. But i am having trouble with green algae. I have been changing the water about 30% at atime . I am keeping what little mess there out the tank. But the stuff shows...

Anybody have a alternate for bio-balls than the ones you buy. My local fish store, said they would have to order them, they didn't keep them in stock. One man told me he used hair rollers. What ever works? :D

I had the the same propblem with my tank, fish dying. Check your ammonia levels, and see if you have enough oxygen in your tank, maybe using a airstone. :) Has anybody here raised thier own bloodworms. I have a pond that is loaded with them, and i feed them to my fish after throughly rinising them. But if i could raise them indoors, it would be alot easier to collect them. Any ideas?Thanks!

A friend of mine who has 30 gallon community tank said thar a tank must be sparkling clean all the time. Even the gravel must be that way too. He said he uses a vaccum device that he sticks all the way through the gravel and sucks everthing out. I allways thought that is where the bacteria grows...
