    Freshwater Oddballs

If its small enough to fit in its mouth it will most likely be eaten. I've seen mine eat a neon tetra whole. The shark would go well unless it gets aggressive enough to attack the african butterfly, they act big and scary but they aren't really. They look awesome when you feed them live crickets.

The only time it has gone below the surface was when I first did water changes the the african butterfly in the tank but it rarely goes below the surface. I have kept them successfully with some killifish and they got along well, the african butterfly rarely gets disturbed except for the odd...

    Price of fish!!

I agree our prices are stupid. This particular specimen was no larger then 4cm and had some torn fins. People would have to be retarded to pay that sort of money. I mostly get my fish from private breeders for this reason.

    My new striped peacock eel

He's always exploring, I've never seen him burrow, he sometimes sits on top of my heater or wraps himself around the filter intake and observes the tank, he's so cool. It's in a 220L tank with plants and sand substrate

Does anyone elses ghost knifes act like this?

http://youtu.be/KL8KKeKyT8Q My knife fish does this sometimes, he skims along just under the waters surface and it appears that he is looking for food
