    For Sale: Plants for sale

Ahh man, that's rough. I had a planted tank for several years, then went through a house renovation and a move. After about 2 years I'm getting back into it.

A few problems in my wife's tank

Thanks for the info, there is no injury site. I'll check out that food. Update - my gold Severums are now constantly at the top of the tank with their mouths up, looks like trying to breathe. I can't figure this out. I'll change the water again, but all Params are normal at this time. I also...

A few problems in my wife's tank

No injuries in the tank and no fighting. They're pretty peaceful. I'll try to get a video of it, but it's really unpredictable when he'll do it. The confusing thing is, nothing new has been introduced to the tank in several months. I perform water changes (30%-50%) at least weekly and the...

A few problems in my wife's tank

Thanks for the prompt response. I'm thinking fungal well. I'll try that med if I don't see improvement by the end of the weekend. I believe my heater has crapped out, so that may contribute to the issue. I'll get that replaced tomorrow. Second issue - I'm also a medical professional and I...

A few problems in my wife's tank

Amongst my tanks is a 60g freshwater tank with 2 red spotted severum, a rio indiria severum, 2 EBJDs and 2 clown loaches. All water Paramus are fine - ph 7.4 (has always run this); ammonia, nitrates and nitrites all at 0. The larger EBJD hasn't eaten in a few days and is presenting signs of...

    Discus tank

It's been a while since I posted an update. Here's where I'm at today. I do need to clean the glass. I can't get algae to not grow in the glass.

    Favorite fish for planted tanks?

I'm not bored with the discus, just considering exploring what else is out there. Having a school of like 40 neons would be crazy looking! (And it would only cost like $40....)

    Favorite fish for planted tanks?

Currently I have a moderately planted high tech 55g. I keep discus (total of 6), along with some neon tetra, 2 GBR, and I'm growing out 3 clown loaches in there currently (temporarily). I am considering getting rid of my discus and trying something different. What do y'all enjoy keeping...

    What is this disease?

Careful with salt. Too much salt + plants = dead plants

    Red dotted Severus

I have 2. They get along with other SA cichlids. I have an EBJD, a blue acara, a rio inirida Severum, and some clown loaches. Just don't have plants with them. They destroyed my plants. They also did great with my discus for s brief period of time.

    Algae help

My lights are off right now and on a timer, I'll try to snap a pic tonight; but yes, I can wipe it off with my finger.

    Algae help

Do you have your sink on as high as it will go? You can also try attaching it to a hose.

    Discus tank

Discus are great. I think I have the most slow growing fish I could have picked. I have discus and clown loaches - not going to have any monsters any time soon.

    Discus tank

It's growing very well, finally seeing a little growth from my jungle Val. Now I have started getting a little algae growth on the glass and on a few leaves, so I'm trying to combat that. I just assume that's part of having a planted tank.
