Well oxygenated. Currently using an Marineland Emperor 280 filter which is supposed to work well for oxygenation. So frustrating, b/c I feel like I'm doing something wrong here. Even worse when I go to take a look at the sick tiger barb, and he come swimming slowly over to the front of glass...

Since starting my tank I have lost 2 tiger barbs, another now doesn't look like he'll be long (the other healthy...orginally had 4 with intentions of adding two more once my LFS had some stock in). Unfortunately I do not have a quarentine tank available nor can I afford one at this time...

yeah i'm suspecting he was ill from the lfs. well he's gone now :cry: when i went to check on him he was not able to swim so i euthanized him. the others look fine. i will keep ahold of the pea tip though for future reference.

good deal :) decided to go with the larger filter. It is adjustable. Actually decided to go with the Emperor series (same maker) since it was on sale.

thanks so much for the quick reply! I think I'll go with the 50 gal. model. I'd much rather there be more filtration.

Currently debating between getting the Marineland Penguin Bio-wheel set for 30 gal. max....or going with the model that filters up to 50 gal. I currently have a 30 gal. tank. I'd like to go with the 50 gal. model (more filtration), but am wondering if this would create too much turbulance in...
