It's a small frag rack that will stay. I know I'll be fragging down the road and have been left with no space for frags in the past so I made sure to give myself that space from day one. Sent from my LG-H901 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

Show me your breeding tank for shrimp

Ottos are about the only shrimplet friendly fish you can find. The shrimp will start to breed when they are feeling safe And secure. We had a 5.5 with some blues that didn't breed for months. At the time it was in a high traffic area. We moved it to the bedroom and after a month we found babies...

    Bp's Jebo

So this all started when Laeris made a trip about an hour or so North to pick up some tanks from Autumnsky. I figured we'd be putting one or more in storage until we had more room. Nope. I've been wanting to stand up a salt tank for a while and it just happened that it found a spot between the...

    Molting or dying Fiddler?

With inverts it is important to have calcium in the diet as well as in the water column. I would recommend getting a full test kit rather than the strips, they are not the most reliable. Sent from my LG-H901 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

I've seen them labeled with different names. Black bar, flame, I'm still looking for someone who can tell me for sure. What do you think? I know you have a nice collection. Sent from my LG-H901 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    What did I do wrong?

Sorry to hear this. That's never a good thing. I can't see anything wrong with your params. Any discoloration to the fatalities? How long has the tank been running? Is there anything else in with them? Sent from my LG-H901 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

nerite snail keeps flipping on its back

I've seen them flip over after an eating binge and have read that they can stay that way for days. Could be food coma. Sent from my LG-H901 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

What killed my red cherry shrimp???

I'm sorry to hear this. With parameters like that and a snail towards the top I'd guess lack of oxygen. The airstone should help. I have almost 0 flow in my 5.5 shrimp tank and without the airstone I don't get enough oxygen exchange. Sent from my LG-H901 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    FresH2O's Shrimp Tank

The males go nuts when a female molts. I call it the drunken shrimp race. They run into everything, swim like mad and don't care about stopping until the pheromones are gone. Sent from my LG-H901 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

Breeding Project No. 002 ~ Sulawesi Cardinal Shrimp (Caridina dennerli) #the$maker

Brennae is great to buy from. She usually sells cholla, alder and some other shrimp favorites. You can find her in the classified section of the forums here. Send a pm and she'll let you know what she has. We have bought from her and love her prices and helpfulness. Sent from my LG-H901 using...

Breeding Project No. 002 ~ Sulawesi Cardinal Shrimp (Caridina dennerli) #the$maker

Since you are planning on breeding I would stay away from rotating rocks with moss in and out. The babies will join the feeding and removing all of them could be very difficult when taking out the rock, they are tiny and hard to spot in moss. I would focus on getting algae to grow in the tank...

Other than biofilm what can I feed rcs?

My shrimp eat all the things. Laeris talked about most but I've also fed celery leaf, cucumber, and they love Indian almond leaf. You can also drop alder pine cones in, they develope biofilm quickly. Sent from my LG-H901 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Baby endlers are here...

My plan is to keep the females in a 10 gallon to breed. The males in my 20l display and the fry in a separate 10 gallon to grow out until I can sex them and put into the appropriate tank. Then I'll pick the best of the males to breed some more. Sent from my LG-H901 using Aquarium Advice mobile app
