    Preparing for potential mudskipper aggression

    I have a Periophthalmodon septemradiatus mudskipper in my 33 gallon. I ordered a "friend" for him (arrival on Saturday). I'm pretty sure they will get along since I used a lot of time to adjust the decorations suitably. Just in case though... What if they don't get along? Would a large food safe...

    With a single betta, you could keep some Caridina-shrimps. There are many colourful species to choose from, most of which are quite small and reproduce readily in freshwater. They like java moss and similar plants. Their bioload is very small. The betta could be aggressive towards them, though...
