    Fluval leaking help

I started to hear some nice from my fluval 306 and then found some leaking. I checked the main seal and it looked fine. It seems I am leaking in two places which is strange to happen at the same time. Any suggestions or buy a new one. It's about a year old Thanks

    Eheim vac pro filter bag?

Does anyone have a recommendation on adding a smaller micron filter bag to the eheim vac? It seems like almost everything I vacuum just filters through the plastic filter it comes with. I tried to use filter floss but it becomes messy to clean. Any suggestions with links please?

    Is my purigen dead?

So this is a comparison of two new packets and the two old ones that I left in bleach for 2 weeks, then in seachem safe, then seachem neutral regulator They never turned close to what they were before, and actually seen smaller in size also. Oh well, all 4 going into te fx6

    Is my purigen dead?

Usually it turns completely back to normal, but this batch just didn't after a week in beech. I had a top on it, not sure if that makes a difference. Going to reuse it anyway and see what happens.

    Help with cloudy water Please

I still haven't setup the sterilizer and I am still pretty clear. I bought an inline pump and a sterilizer to setup separately. Do you have yours attached to a filter ? What's your setup?

    Help with cloudy water Please

I will try to give as much info as possible, but if you need more please let me know. I have a 125g freshwater tank that has been running for about 1 year. I recently noted the water to be cloudy. At the time I was running 2x fluval 306 loaded with MarineHD biomedia, a sunsun 404b with 2 l...

    Best nitrate remover

Thanks for all the replys. I am going to try several plants. This weekend I got some bamboo and another plant and so far so good. They uprooted the plants, so I used some brown thread and tired the bottom to some drift wood.

    Best nitrate remover

Does anyone know a good nitrate remover besides my weekly water changes? Anyone try the cobolt resins or trying the ammonia reducers to slow the whole process? This is one week after a 70% change. Yes I am overstocked, but not that much

    Spot cleaning sand

Got the Eheim and it is perfect for this use. I don't think it would be close to strong enough to do any significant cleaning but for spot cleaning it is good. Hopefully this will lower my nitrates. I am currently doing weekly 70% changes to keep it down..

    Spot cleaning sand

I have a 125 g freshwater tank, and even after a good cleaning, and vacuuming up the sand, u occasionally get these pockets of garbage on the bottom. Does anyone have a good way to clean this without a while big deal and water change ie a vacuum that is electric and doesn't need to be hooked...

    Please Help with purple fungi!

That doesn't look like black beard algea to me. That being said, when I spray black beard algea with hydrogen peroxide, it turns purple when it dies. I would take the wood out, spray with hydrogen peroxide (get a clean spray bottle and use regular over the counter peroxide), and see if it...

Eheim vs Sun Sun vs API

If you need more flow and not the filtration, get the sun sun and a cheap WaveMaker. I have two cheap sunsun WaveMakers and don't seem to have any issues.
