Spot cleaning sand

I have a 125 g freshwater tank, and even after a good cleaning, and vacuuming up the sand, u occasionally get these pockets of garbage on the bottom.

Does anyone have a good way to clean this without a while big deal and water change ie a vacuum that is electric and doesn't need to be hooked up to water?

That is exactly what I was looking for.

Got the Eheim and it is perfect for this use. I don't think it would be close to strong enough to do any significant cleaning but for spot cleaning it is good.

Hopefully this will lower my nitrates. I am currently doing weekly 70% changes to keep it down..
