What fish do you think should NOT be in the fish keeping hobby?

Definitely. Habitat destruction is a problem for just about all species, fish or not... Sent from my LG-H831 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

What fish do you think should NOT be in the fish keeping hobby?

Until they are, they shouldn't be being taken from the wild in MASSIVE NUMBERS to supply fish shops around the world. There are more than enough captive bred(currently) species already available. Sent from my LG-H831 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

What fish do you think should NOT be in the fish keeping hobby?

As long as a fish is kept in an appropriately sized tank, then fine. It's selling a goldfish to someone with a 10 gallon tank that's wrong. Other than that, any fish that must be taken from the wild should not be in the hobby. I hate to say that, because some of my favourite fish are such...

    Predatory/Aggressive fish

That's weird. If tmyou just wait until they are bringing in their next order, they SHOULD Even charge you LESS than retail, especially if you can pick them up in bag when they come in. I sometimes give people better deals if they pick up in bag, where I work, but even if they don't, the less...

    Looking for a fish

Bucktooths won't bother your corys, but I can't say for sure about the shrimp. A better choice might be diamond tetras, or maybe Colombian tetras... Loads of options out there, though. Bucktooths get rather large, are best kept in larger schools, and limit tankmate options. Sent from my LG-H831...

    Bucktooth Tetra & Cory Cats?

I'd be more worried about the shrimp, myself. I keep a school of 9 bucktooths, with about 7 or 8 banjo cats, 6 twig cats, 4 bristlenose plecos, 6 queen loaches, 4 panda garra, a snowball pleco, and probably 40 or 50 kuhli loaches, and the bucktooths ignore em all, just chase eachother around...

    Blue-green algae

Thanks Fresh and Caliban. I've removed all the gravel from the worst tank, and the water. I'm soaking the gravel in a mild bleach solution overnight, thoroughly cleaned the glass and filter etc. I'm going to use filter media from one of my other filters and give it a few days with goldfish, to...

    Blue-green algae

Thanks, goof :) I have been cleaning/with water changes, and I have air(maybe I will add a second pump/stone), and I switched the U2 filter to the bottom nozzle for agitating the substrate :/ I can add a second filter, though, but I'm having the problem in multiple tanks, so I guess I will try...

    Blue-green algae

Just looking for tips on getting rid of blue-green algae. I've heard hydrogen peroxide works well, but looking for confirmation on that or other techniques... Thanks! Sent from my E6653 using Aquarium Advice mobile app
