You said it was stuck between the heater and the filter. I have had bad experiences with fish and good filters. So to stop that I just put a sponge around it.

It's is a good stocking but I would change the pygmy corys to 2-3 ottos. I have herd they clean better, and 6 pygmies is pushing it.

I just read up about them and the pleco should be in a minimum of 20 gallons. So If you gave him away then you could do like 10 ghost shrimp.

I have 1 betta in a 10 and he is so happy I cant imagine that I had him in a bowl. You could do like 4 guppies all male or all female. I have a gourami in a 10 gallon and he is very happy he was in a 5 gallon with 3 other gourami when I got him
