yeah...i dont have any co2 on my tank, cuz it isnt planted.

the tank used to be planted, it isnt now. different substrate, but same driftwood, i have excel, when i do my pwc this week i will put some excel on those spots and see if that clears it up do u happen to know what causes it so i can rectify the situation?

so i was feeding the tank today, and i looked over and noticed this black fuzzy thing on one of my pieces of driftwood.. got a couple pictures, just wondering what it is and how to get rid of it.

I have a 55g tank, usual 48" long, with a jebo odyssea on it right now. It is the 3 switch...the one that comes with a bank of normal light, the actinic bank, and a few moonligts. It is your basic ebay special for like 100$ or something. Well to put it simply i absolutely hate this fixutre...

i have been wanting black filtration parts for a while, i'd go with the replacements though i dont really trust spray paint inside my tank, but thats just me

use ceramic rings, biostars, filter floss, and two different densities of foam. not in that particular order.

Thanks for the help. It would be the 55g in my comment. I was looking at these gettin a male and female Lemon Cobra Guppy, and maybe a school of true rummynose tetras, or green fire tetras... How big of a school would those need to be kept in? I was thinking about 6 or 8.. Also i was wondering...

hmm good idea i was thinking about actually adding a single ice pack too, not enough to make them lethargic enough that it would do damage, just enough to slow down metabolism and keep them from going as much

just add the amount u need to add for the total volume of your tank before u start filling back, or while you are filling it up, it should be fine. i add mine right before i start filling back up and i have never had a problem.

seeing those makes me want to invest more time into my tank (other than pwc) than the 5 minutes a week i spend working on my plants...maybe after i move ill buckle down and get my co2 bought and set up and get back into it..
