Hey guys, I found some large rocks outside that I was considering putting in my African tank. I'm not sure if they've ever been sprayed with insecticide or weed killer over the years. Is there any way to make them safe to use just in case?

I was thinking about soaking them for a few days at the very least.

Thank you for the advice. I will see if I can find some rocks or something to add to the tank. My local fish store has a ton of rocks similar to the one you saw in the pictures, so maybe I can get more of them and stack them somehow.

Wow, thanks for the detailed responses! Luckily, I can adjust the color and brightness of my LEDs. So I will dim the lights a bit, decrease the on time, and do a big water change. I have considered Pothos but I hear they aren't safe for other pets, and I have cats.
