Is it possible to go from saltwater to brackish? I just lost my last fish and have decided to try brackish water. Must I start from scratch? I have live sand and live rock in the tank now.

Roka, no algae. I was just wondering if letting it sit in the fridge for 3 days was okay. It saves me having to chop up the frozen cubes. Also, I forgot to mention I do offer dried seaweek about 3 times a week. The LemonPeel Angel loves it. The others nibble a bit. Thanks for your answer.

I just melt the cubes in a little tankwater. I mix frozen Marine Cuisine and frozen mysis and sometimes a little flake...add garlic and I feed using a turkey baster. They go crazy. :)

Is the spililina in Marine Cuisine not enough? I'll get that tomorrow when I go to the LFS. He seems to prefer the shrimp. I thought that was strange too. But, he seems happy and healthy so far. I just want to be sure.

Wow, you read my mind, Devillishturtles. I had decided on pajama cardinals but am not certain if I should do 2 or 3. I've heard uneven numbers. I do a 15-20%water change every week and the cards are small so I think 3 might be okay if I keep tabs on the water.

Marc, thanks. But what is the best way to get some of it out of the 5 gallon without disturbing the critters in there? I could scoop it out with a cup but I hate stressing them too much as they will be stressed enough when they move to their bigger home. There is nothing in the 29 gallon now...

Has anyone found an easy way to move sand (without the water) from one tank to another? I want to move some of the LS in my nano to my 29 gallon but since I still have crabs, snails and a shrimp in the nano, I don't want to disturb them too much. I just need enough to seed the dead sand...
