If you add more than one leaf in that sized tank then you will not be able to see your inhabitants very well.

It does sound like your tank has been instantly cycled. I would suggest stocking slowly, but not too slowly otherwise some bacteria might die off due to lack of ammonia. What are your stocking plans

I would say a bristlenose pleco needs a minimum of 20 gallons. Snails would be a more suitable option, however as stated above, reducing light would also help.

Fancy goldfish might be okay if you live in a climate that doesn't get too cold. You could fit around 5 fancy goldfish comfortably in there.

I have had success with mixing a female betta in a community tank with cardinal tetras & Pygmy corydoras. Am extremely important thing when mixing a betta with other fish is to have a large enough tank, because the more space the betta has, the less aggressive & territorial it will be.

I agree, less variety of fish & a larger school of selected fish will look much prettier for your tank. For example, I would put more cardinal tetras in your tank as 12 is not many for a 90 gallon, this will make the whole school look much prettier.

It's actually not a breeder tank. I love that aquascape, I was thinking of doing something similar and I love the driftwood. I was thinking of doing black sand to make the colours of my fish pop but your white sand looks great too so I am still unsure of which colour sand to choose.

I need some aquascaping inspiration for my 40 gallon tank which will be a tropical community with low tech plants. Also has anyone ever done an aquascape with a pathway, if so how did it work out? How did you keep the subrates seperated?

I think if I bought a juvenile angelfish then it would grow up not seeing the cardinals as food.
