1 Year Update (Before & After Photos) Male Green Terror Cichlid Transformation

He is considered one of he slower growers in the big cichlid world but he is keeping up with the expectations. Really happy with his shape and colors. I hope he can hit that 11" mark over the next year.

    Fish dying. Water levels perfect

The whitish growth on driftwood in 200% normal. It's a harmless fungus. Will go away on its own. Your fish likely have columnaris. I lost 40 fish to this disease in like 2 weeks. I beat it though and saved another 30 from death. Kanaplex and furan 2. Very hard meds. Lower the temp as...

    Help with my angelfish please!

The only real way to know if he is cured of the parasite is to have a fecal sample examined for parasites. Otherwise there could still be some.remaining only to come back at a time of stress or weakened immune system

    Help with my angelfish please!

First off if he is getting bullied you need to separate. Can you post pictures of the fish? Does he have holes in his head by chance or small pitting? Spironculous vortens is often a culprit in many cichlids. It's an internal parasite that when becomes systematic is can be deadly. Only way...

    Parasite

I believe your fish is sick. Unfortunately, after reading the replies you have received they are not providing you with the correct advice. It's very well known fact that Oscars have an issue with hole in the head disease with is cause by an internal parasite called s. Vortens. The great of...

Hi Everyone, I finally got the metro and focus in the mail and I want to start feeding my GT this with his pellets or other foods I got. He has one small spot and a little bit of clear poop. I believe the trigger for the hith was due to a self inflicted eye injury from banging into driftwood...

    My stunning green terror cichlid

My GT is just over a year old. I got him at 2.5" in oct 2016 and he is now a solid 6" pushing 7" soon. So keep this in mind. An adult gt would be good solo in a 75g or larger imo. I would not go any smaller though.

    My stunning green terror cichlid

A 75g or a 90g could work.for a solo wetpet as long as they don't get much bigger than 12" or so.

Yeah it seems your boy has maxed out which if your happy with him that's great and nothing else matters. Hopefully he lives a long and happy life with you. I would really like a larger gt. Hopefully he reaches a minimum 10" but I am really aiming for 12" as the goal. Only time will tell...

You do realize you need to cycle your aquarium right, ideally before adding fish.
