I would highly suspect your dojo loach snacking on your ghost shrimp! We had 2 loaches in our planted 75gal and managed to loose over 2 doz ghost shrimp in under 2mnths.

I ran chemistry on the 75gal today. Vacuumed up detritus, and did a 20% water change to see if I can slowly lower the GH...everyone looks active and healthy!

Filtration update on the 75g. My Son and I plumbed, assembled, tested and installed our 20g sump last night.

Picked up a packet of Hikari First Bites while we wait for our order of decapsulated brine shrimp to arrive. So far so good...parents are keeping close watch and enjoying the privacy of their new tank!

Have you had any experience feeding Fry with Decapsulated brine shrimp? Seems like an easy, healthy and cost effective solution!

Noticed them nest over a week ago...but didn’t pay much attention until this morning! They are in a 75gal community tank. What should we do to protect them or help the parents?

I'll probably leave it in the bottom of the bucket each time I syphon untill a bit is built up, then slosh some tank water around in the bottom of the bucket then dump it in. Here's another option to tie at the end of the siphon...

Great idea to test it out! At $8 for 50lbs, you can see if the would exchange or use a sponge barrier on you intake siphon. Keep us updated!
