    Plant issues

I have had this tank set up for 8-9 months now. And these plants came from a different tank I have back when I first started this tank. fyi: Light: Beamswork DA FSPEC CO2: 1.5 bbp

    Plant issues

Can someone identify the issue with my tank? My plants keep getting greenish spots on the leaves and some edges start to turn brown/black. My nitrates are at 5 ppm and phosphates at 0.25. I do not know what else it could be if not a deficiency on one of those.

    Pressurized CO2 issues

I have already done that when I first noticed it and there was no leaks.

    Pressurized CO2 issues

No I do not. But the funny thing is if I disconnect the tubbing just above the bubble counter (bubble counter still on) than it works just fine. Or if I take the bubble counter off then it works just fine.

    Pressurized CO2 issues

So it has been a few days now and still nothing has changed as far as how many bps I can get.

    Pressurized CO2 issues

I have it the correct way, I guess I will wait and see if it sorts itself out with the back pressure. Thanks

    Pressurized CO2 issues

Hey Guys, I am having an issue with my new co2 system. I have had pressurized co2 systems for a while now and never had this issue. I recently bought a new set up for a new tank. My issue is no matter how high I have the needle valve turned up I get the same bps. The issue only happens when I...

    Unknown Plant Deficiency

So bump the NilocG up to 2x and take out the florish potassium? Or keep the extra Potassium too? Should I also lower my light to 5-6 hours too or wait to see the effects of the extra ferts?

    Unknown Plant Deficiency

I am not 100% sure If I am calculating this correct. Heres a link to the bottles I am using that you can double check on: https://www.amazon.com/Liquid-NPK-Aquarium-Fertilizer-Aquatics/dp/B00VIO6LCI/ref=pd_bap_rp_29?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=3TGSX5VWE10Z98A96C1Q The bottle shows this...

    Unknown Plant Deficiency

So for the most part you are saying its a CO2 deficiency? What would you consider that Beamswork light to be? Low/med/high light? I always thought it to be low light. If med/high light I should get a dimer or a pressurized CO2 system? Eventually I want to get a CO2 system for this tank. I have...

    Unknown Plant Deficiency

Hey All, I have been having issues trying to figure out what is wrong in my planted tank. I am hoping that someone here can help me out. My tank info is: 29 gallon tank with eco complete substrate (4" thick) I run a Beamswork DA Full spec for about 7 hours a day Ammonia: 0 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate...

    Plant Issues

I will need to test my tap and see what KH comes from there. My last KH reading was 7 after a 50% water change.

    Plant Issues

Alright, thanks. I did get the Ca kit and tested for that and tried the calculation but the results were not right just based off what the answer was. But now i know where i was off once looking back at it. I missed the part of 1 drop Ca bottle 2 equals 5 ppm. I ended up using the saltwater...

    Plant Issues

I'll be monitoring it. What would you say is a good range for all nutrients? Well the ones I can test for. Ammonia (0), Nitrite (0), Nitrate(30-40), Phosphate(2-3), Ph(?), GH(?), KH(?), Mg(?)

    Plant Issues

Alright, I will take out the PO4 reducer and up the Macros and continue to monitor it closely to see what happens.

    Plant Issues

Ok, I don't think I am going to have to add PO4. I have actually been using a media to try to lower those levels thinking I have to much PO4. How do I know if I have to much PO4? Is there a visible sign with the plants? Or just if the ratio is off? Or no ill effect at all? Thank you for all the...

    Plant Issues

Ok, so for the most part right now is more of a trial and error. Test before a water change and if its a darker orange do not change ferts but if it is a light orange then dose more throughout the week? What should I strive for on my PO4 levels? 0.5-1ppm? I think my next go around with ferts...

    Plant Issues

How exactly do you calculate the ppm being added to the tank per dose? I have tried using the EI calculator but the product I have is not on the list. This product in particular shows it in ppm/degree. What is the degree? I know most are in percentage on the bottles but even then I do not fully...

    Plant Issues

This was my test results on 3/1/2020: Ammonia:0 Nitrite:0 Nitrate:5 Phosphate:1 Ph: 7.6 (no CO2 at the time) Ph: 6.6 (CO2 running for 4 hours) KH:7dKH GH:9dGH Light/CO2: 5hours Above results were the test the day after a 50% water change. I regularly do a 50% water change on weekends. I dose...

    Plant Issues

Ahhh, If the "Older leaves are being cannibalized by the plant to feed new growth", then wouldn't there be some kind of nutrient deficiency causing them to decay to make way for new growth?
  24. D

    Plant Issues

For some reason I do not think it is algae though (I could be mistaken). Would algae deteriorate the plant? The older leaves are much thinner then the new ones. The black stuff seems to get on the new growth when a new set of leaves start to grow. It is also growing pretty quickly.

    Plant Issues

Do y’all think this could possibly be a potassium deficiency? I do not know how to test to see if I am low in K. My last readings were taken yesterday: Ammonia:0 Nitrite:0 Nitrate:5 Phosphate:1 Ph: 7.6 (no CO2 at the time) Ph: 6.6 (CO2 running for 4 hours) KH:7dKH GH:9dGH Light/CO2: 5hours...
