Hi, I have a planted tank and I dose EI and have pressurized. About 2 weeks ago I had a shrimp death but I though that it could be a fertilizer overdose. But now 3 rummynose tetras died. I can't get it. PH 6.8 - 7, no ammonia and no nitrites. My tap water has high GH. What could be the problem?

I personally dose the same day but after ~3hrs to leave some time for the fish to settle down.

What pump strength (l/h) do you recommend for a 55g? I have a 600 l/h but is seems to be overkill since it sways the plants so I had to install a spraybar.

Thanks people for the replies. What I am going to do is eliminate the pipe part and buy a connection to join the solenoid and the regulator directly.

I have a small chinese algae eater at the bottom. Does it bother them? If yes I will get rid of him.

KH2PO4 - I meant Potassium Dihydrogren Phosphate. It is mentioned in Barr's EI dosing: 40-60 Gallon Aquariums +/- 1/2 tsp KN03 3x a week +/- 1/8 tsp KH2P04 3x a week +/- 1/8 tsp K2S04 3x a week +/- 1/8 (10ml) Trace Elements 3x a week 50% weekly water change

Hi I have pressurized CO2 in a 55g. I switch it off during the night using a timer and then switch on an airpump to help oxygenate the tank. CO2 monitoring is done using a calibrated PH meter and test for KH and then use the table for reference. The thing is during the day I maintain a PH level...

I use mist method and I ensure you that it is very effective. Explosive growth provided good lighting and nutrients.

According to tropica the rosanervig does not exceed 10cm width.

Apart from different leaf colours, is it true that the rosanervig grow less wide than the normal polysperma?

I had hair algae and found out that when I dosed some more nutrients, it disappeared. I got pressurized CO2 and 4wpg though.

Ok thanks ppl. Today I will do a large water change and start dosing EI. Any links which explain it well? I added egeria densa and hygrophila polysperma. According to what I read these plants are fast growing.
