My pH stays around 7.2. my test kit doesn't have anything to test KH unfortunately. Ive blanched and froze some slices of zucchini to supplement. Clerk at LFS told me to buy some wonder shells for the snails. I bought a few to test. Have you any exp with them?

Planning on getting some nerite snails for my freshwater tank. I know they need calcium for their shell to be healthy. Question: My tap water is hard being from Ohio. Around 130ppm TDS. Will that be good enough for them without supplementing calcium?

Yeah the Cory's are doing great. My 2 albinos love taking turns darting across the tank, my juliis keep laying eggs but the other fish keep eating them including the Cory's. My 4 Peppered Cory's are kinda skiddish if you approach the tank too fast but they are active and constantly scrounging...

My platys won't touch the stuff on the glass. They definitely Chow down on algae wafers tho when I feed the Cory's. I try to change up their diets between flakes, bloodworm, brine shrimp pellets and algae wafers

When doing water changes I like to add aquarium salt. I only add about half of the recommended dose. 1 teaspoon per 5 gallons. Will that be an issue with these snails since it's technically brackish? I don't want make tank over ran by snails lol.

The only LFS here is petco and petsmart. half the time I go up there, tanks have dead fish in them. Id rather medicate them for everything upfront and the ones that survive I keep in my tank with out worry. I personally think everyone should quarantine and preemptively medicate all new fish.
