on the waterbox tanks...the tank that I'm looking at is 12" deep (I really only want it for corals and (in a year or so)I'll add a clam....I'm debating about going up a few more gallons and getting the tank that's 18" deep...but if I'm only doing corals and clams...do I need 18"?

Excellent! Thank you.....I gotta ask....what kind of clam do you have in that tank? I think that's what I miss the most (other than the corals...and my tangs)...I had several different clams...deresa, squamosa, crocea and even a hippo clam.

I wasn't going to do much in the fish department.....I was thinking of possibly doing a frogfish but that would be it. I am not doing clowns again....they are evil!!

I got some great advice from some folks on this site.....rather than stirring up your tank etc why not just inject the aptasia with a mixture of pickling lime and ro/di water? It works very well. I bought 3 peppermint shrimp to attack the aptasia and it didn't work. I ended up getting rid of...

Hard to say...my cleaner shrimp rides my yellow tang the length of my 72 gallon tank. My kole tang sits still for the cleaner too......my clown fish on the other hand are very anti-social to everything, including the shrimp! Give them time and who knows.... :)

I'm wondering how folks have their aquapods set up.....I've heard that some run rubble instead of the bioballs. If so, do you also use the foam insert too? I picked up another aquapod 24 last weekend that I plan on growing mainly sps in and I want to see if someone else is running something...

Yes, what he said! There are several different varieties of dried seaweed that your hippo would enjoy. Just remember to remove the uneaten seaweed after a few hours so it doesn't foul the tank. Good Luck!

Ok.....I finally was able to peel it off and toss it......I killed it! waaahhhh!!

Has a hard shell and is stuck on the coral big time.....I tried to gently peel it off.
