Well, the male is nipping at her which I think is making her stressed and nipping at every fish… today, I noticed the male has a split dorsal fin, which I think she did. I have a large breeder box, should I put her in there this early? Will she prematurely give birth?

Hello, I recently got 4 black mollies from the pet store(3 females and 1 male) and one of the females has a bigger rounded belly than the rest, also she is losing some color in the belly area(unrelated) she is also nipping at the other fish…. Is she pregnant? Here are some pictures. Thanks!

I got a 3.5 gallon tank to put the gravid mom in(I know how to tell) and the dad so they can have their babies there. I'm just trying to get one successful spawn where the babies don't get eaten, then im going to let nature take its course for every other spawn. I might have gotten you confused...

Hello all, i was wondering, in the situation that the biggest male and biggest female convicts breed and lay eggs( which they did) will the fry survive in the tank with other convicts? The only fish that is bigger than them is my pleco. I ordered a breeders box that I will use next time.

I'm not an expert, but when that happens I use algaefix, you can buy it at pet shops.

The mom was in the tank with the fry for about 4 days before I moved her back. The Male is not with them because, well he already started mating with another female and was very aggressive towards the mom. Should I put the female back? Will she remember it’s her babies? I took her out 4 days ago

She was probably eaten by my dog because I picked up all the caves and decor and there was still no sign of her. Thanks for the help
