    Angel with red cheeks.

I was thinking it might be the blush on a blushing angel.

    Angel with red cheeks.

Is this red cheek normal? I've only had this fish for 2 weeks and it's in my quarantine tank. All water parameters are good and it is swims and acts and eats normal.

    Feeding Pleco's and Corries

Yeah the problem is the plecos don't come out to eat during the day. I just tried putting 4 Omega1 wafers at the bottom, at light out and check in for over 2 hours and neither pleco came out to eat but I did see the cory's at least around the food and in the morning most of the wafers were gone...

    Feeding Pleco's and Corries

New 4 week old tank 90 gallons with L260 Pleco and one other kind 2' grows to 4", 2 Skunk Corries and 1 other Cory. I alternate several different types of wafers (Omego 1 Rounds, Xtreme Scrapers, Hikari Sinking wafers). Couple questions. How many wafers, once per day should I feed (again 2...

    Cory's and eating

I put 2 skunk cory's in my new tank 2 weeks ago. They seem happy and swim together often, up and down the tank but only occasionally at the bottom. I drop a couple of different types of sinking wafers for them but how do I know if they are eating them? I have seen them at the bottom looking...

    New tank- light and fertilizer

I will be starting a new 90 gallon community, heavy fish load, moderate plant load, low tech (no CO2). Girl Talks Fish video recommends: First week - no fertilizer, 50% light intensity for 6 hrs, 2nd week -25% recommended Easy Green fertilizer, 50% light/7 hrs, 3rd week 50% fertilizer and 75%...

Hard midwest water and water softeners

Yes I agree Andy. My RO filter is in the basement and I'm not lugging 5 gallon buckets 6 times for a water change. If this doesn't work, I'll try just fish and if that doesn't work, I'll move to cichlids. Which I really hate to do. I love angel fish and my only experience with cichlids was...

Hard midwest water and water softeners

I'm planning a 90 gallon community tank with heavy fish load and moderate plants, freshwater. I live in Illinois on well water and it's 400ppm GH with KH of 200. I'd like to keep angels and tetras. The water from my water softener is 60 GH and 200 KH but I'd have to add some Ca (no big deal)...
