Are there any breeds minus a single ram that could be housed in a ten? Going to start a ten this weekend, until I can save for a big tank down the road.

Well then no ottos, prob a pleco and clown loaches. Thought they get pretty big and can handle themselves.I am going to buy them at about 5 inches

Yeah I am leaning to an oscar and a jaguar. Then some clown loaches for the bottom feeders and maybe a couple ottos or a bigger pleco.

I am leaning towards one Managuense and one Oscar. I am prob going to buy them both at less then two inches, so maybe two Jaguars n one Oscar. Just want them all to survive to adulthood.

I am looking to start a tank by Fall of 75 gallons plus. Would rather make it a large fish tank as oppose to community. Any suggestions on cool cichlids/or other fish to try. I was thinking 2 managuenses and maybe a couple other bottom feeders.

Yeah that kind of puts me off, seeing how big of a tank they need...125 gallon for them..yet the same for a jaguar cichlid, I'm confused...how big do frontosas get?Also what can you put with a freshwater stingray?

I was just at the local Aquarium Adventure and saw frontosas. I think of any african cichlid they are by far my favorite. I'm not a huge fan of all the colors, I feel that is what community fish are for. That is why I house all SA cichlids in my tank now. Any ideas on what size tank specs and...

i think all can go along fine except the jack dempseys. They may be fine if they are younger but I've seen some full grown dempseys that are super aggressive, better kept outstide of community tanks..Plus feed once in morning and once at night and feed variety..

I just bought ten small rosy reds to start the cycle..Yeha I agree the tank is too small for him but I tried to move him to my 60 and he and the other plco just fought..so am30 is better then a 10 for now

I just got a free ten gallon tank at work today from some guy..has a aquatech filter and a hood..but no heater..soaking it now in hot water...then going to maybe scrub it down a bit more ;)
