Okay I looked at him today and it doesn't appear as if he's willing to eat and he's also looking slightly dis colored he's not as dark as he was and around his eyes they're getting a little white-ish. I have no idea what's going on.

55 gallon for now and he's only about maybe... 1 1/2 to 2 inches. In about 6 months he's moving to a 75 gallon. And as far as eating he's a little bit sketchy. I haven't seen him eat much.

I have the kit. The API master freshwater testing kit or something of the sorts. But basically it says the baseline color which is 0 ppm should be yellow. Well when I put the solution in all I get is clear.

Yeah I understand that but it seems like about everything else works. The nitrite and nitrate and ph tests do.

Well, I wouldn't suggest it. But your chances are a lot greater if you feed him like feeder gold fish. Which i wouldn't recommend too much as it can make your fish sick.
