    Favortite Tool

I think turkey basters must be the swiss army knife of aquariums. They're great for cleaning, feeding and killing (aptasia). Fun fun fun.

Most annoying thing about your SW tank

First of all, Kudos for starting this thread. Definately one of the more fun ones I've read. Top three annoyances: 3. Cyano (Can't seem to kill the stuff, it just goes into remission) 2. Salt Creep (like sand, it gets everywhere!) 1. Having to scrape every form of algae known to mankind off...

How do I get rid of those little feather dusters?

Hmm, good point(s) about the feather duster. I know they're harmless and are actually beneficial. Although, as the old cliche goes, too much of a good thing? I guess I just find them unsightly. The proliferated baby ones anyways. I have numerous feather dusters that are pleasent to look at...

How do I get rid of those little feather dusters?

Oh sorry, yes Reef Tank with Fish (Blue Tang, yellow tang, six line wrasse, chromis', 2 percs), 90 gallons, 90-100lbs of live rock, 3 inch sand bed, lots of feather dusters all over. Thanks! K.

How do I get rid of those little feather dusters?

Does anyone know the best way of getting rid of those little baby feather dusters that seem to be spreading like weeds? I know butterflies eat them but my Yellow Tang will probably destroy the butterfly (at least a copper banded one anyways). Any inverts that eat them? Thanks, K.

    How to Catch A Fish!!!!

In case anyone is still reading this thread or happens upon it through a search, this is my method of catching fish. Has worked for catching every fish I've tried to catch. I had a piece of glass left over from the glass lid that I stopped using. The piece of glass is slightly shorter than...

    Alien in my tank???

At a glance they look exactly like what I have on numerous rocks in my tank. Mine turned out to be small clams of some sort. Many of them seem to be migratory. K.

    RO/DI unit

aquasafe RO/DI 6 stage I purchased the AquaSafe one over the holidays and just hooked it up. I (and my fish) very happy now that RO/DI water is entering the tank and not that nasty tap water crap. Anyways, the piercing bit was a little sketchy for me (mostly due to user error), but once I...

    Good LFS In your area:

Lots of easterners. If you're in calgary and reading this and new, check out Gold's Aquarium in 17th Avenue NE. Least expensive livestock in town. Unfortuntaely not the greatest selection, but begger's can't be choosers. If you want more selection, try Big Al's or Pices Pet Emporium by the...

    baby skunk cleaner shrimp!

hmm, i need to get in the habit of proofreading my posts. Anyways.. ya it was quite cool. Although, I suspect that by the time I get home tonight, none of the babies will be left. If they haven't been eaten by the fish or corals, i'm sure they would've gotten sucked up by the filter  ...
