i have a home made gravel vac reactor. today i noticed that there are little worms in there. kinda like large micro worms. what's the deal with that? anyone know what they could be or how they got there. or even how they're living in a co2 environment without oxygen.
i've noticed from reading around that you can use things like stump remover for nitrate. can you use other plant ferts like blood meal for the same purpose? i think that miracle gro blood meal is 12-0-0.

i had a bunch of gbr eggs that hatched and i had a new tank all set up for them, i put pantyhose on the intake of the filter to prevent them from being sucked in. what happened was the current was too much and carried my fry up off of the bottom of the tank and get stuck to the pantyhose...
i have a line of algae that starts 5 inches from the top of the tank and goes all the way to the substrate. why is it not growing on the top 5 inches of the tank? here is a pic.
i've noticed that on the mornings that i dose my trace some of my plants close up, and the tops of my anacharis najas curl down. later on when the lights come on they all open up and straighten out. but this only happens when i dose trace. why is that?
