    Periwinkles?

Yeah, I read that and it wasn't much help. I'll try elsewhere, thanks.

    Periwinkles?

periwinkle snails good? Now that my tank is cycled and really starting to look good, I'd like to introduce some snails- partially for cleanup, partially for my spiny box puffer to snack on. I plan on setting up a refugium to provide a constant supply. My question is- what kind of snail is best...

    setting new tank on base

I've read about putting a thin sheet of insulation under tanks to help level and fill small differences between the tank and the stand. Is this a good idea? Also, should my tank (125g rr) be sitting on a solid piece of plywood? Of course the bottom of the tank glass is a bit raised from the base...

    OMG- my glass is cracked!

It was a used tank, so no going back. I'm going to seal the chip and maybe reinforce the corners from the inside, water test, and hope! Thanks for the advice!

    OMG- my glass is cracked!

yup, it's just the corner and does not seem to have affected the seal on the inside at all. My gut feeling is that it's ok- I'll water test tomorrow. Do you think it best to fill the tank completely to get full pressure on the crack? That's what I'm thinking.

    need impeller- what kind???

Hey y'all- I have an x-stream 1200 mag drive pump that needs an impeller. I believe it is an older pondmaster pump, but there's no other info on the label. Just searching for x-stream doesn't yield much on the web. Anyone have ideas? I have an email into pondparts.com. Thanks!

    Glad to be here...with questions!

Hi everyone- I just recently joined this forum after checking out several others. I've had 55g FW tanks for years, community and cichlids, and my wife and I decided we wanted a SW tank. Our LFS (I'm still catching on to the lingo around here, lol) was going out of business and I got what I...
