I have a candy cane coral that keeps spitting out white web-like stuff and seems to be damaging other corals near it. Is there something irritating it or do i just need to move it away from everything else?

Hey guys, I just set up a refugium and put in some gracillaria, maidens hair and grape caulerpa in the fuge. Now all the sudden on my glass i have what looks like tiny white spirals. I can scrape them off but now they're all over the place. What are these things?

The title says it all. I have CA level of 650ppm which is bad, i know. Just wonder how i can lower it. Ive done a 20% water change and its still high. I didnt know that the salt i was using had the optimal amounts of CA already in it and ive been dosing with reef complete and b-ionic. Any ideas...

I just noticed on a piece of my lr theres this green algae thats dark green and i looks like a membrane on the rock. I got my turkey baster and blasted it off it comes off in sheets , is this bubble algae or what?

Ok so ive heard a lot of people crying about overskimming a tank and personally i think its bs, but id like to get some opinions here. What is the possibility of overskimming a tank?

Ive been pouring over some forums lately and it seems a lot of people are reverting back to a bare bottom and 1" sandbed. So im gona post this question on a few forums. If you could do it again would you go with a dsb? And, will you do a bare bottom tank in the future? If so , why?

I picked up a star polyp today from a friend and brought it home. I acclimated it and the put it in the tank but its just sittin there and not opening. Its a purple color if that helps at all.

I dont know how many of the ppl that frequent this board live in colder areas but lately here (norcal) its been getting fairly cold. When i go to bed my tank is around 80 and when i get up its around 75 and the heater is on tryin to get it back to 80. Any advice on how to keep this stable?
