Thanks everyone!! I really love the look of the sand, makes the tank look bigger too!! It was cloudy when I added the fish but this morning everything was completely clear! I checked all the levels today and everything is good but Im going to continue checking them for the next couple of days...

Yeah the crystals are for aquariums they are from marineland, called white diamond amonia nuetralizing crystals you place them in a mesh bag and set them in the tank. So far the levels havent changed at all, but ill check them again in 24hours! Thanks for the help

Okay the conversion is done, I was wondering I have these crytals that take ammonia out of the water and you put them in a bag in the water, should I do that to prevent an ammonia spike from all the change?

Alright well incase anyone has been following all fish are back in and really enjoying the sand, the corries keep playing in it and digging holes! Next step is to add real plants but I want to make sure I have proper lighting before doing that!

I just converted my gravel in my 16gal to sand and in the process bought a 10gal....Im thinking about setting it up and dont know if I should do a cichlid tank, another community tank or a beta tank! Any suggestions?

Alright all the decorations are back in, I added water from the holding tank(established water) back into the main tank, letting the water get back up to temp and letting the filter run for a little while and then will be adding fish back in. The water isnt completely clear yet but I think over...
