What are you water parameters? If possible, I would recommend gravel vacuuming a bit everytime you do a water change since Ich eggs tend to settle within the gravel. Be sure to disinfect everything you use to avoid spreading those little buggers...

Today is Chubby's 4th day on full dose Kanamycin. He is still upside down, and still no appetite. He poops white stringy poops every now and then... I can tell he has either lost a lot of weight, or his swelling has gone down. However, I am starting to see very slight protrusion in his scales...

Just a quick update: Chubby has moved from pooping white stringy poop, to solid white poop. Today is his second day on full Kanamycin treatment and the lump on his left side 'seems' to have improved. However, he is still upside down and has no appetite... Does this sound promising?

White stringy poop is almost indicative of internal infections either by parasites or bacteria. On top of dkpate's suggestions, I would also recommend feeding your fish boiled peas. Simply microwave them in water for 3 minutes, cool them down, and remove the shell. Then mash them up and feed it...

Hi Libbyb, yup you got it right. Just one thing I would add, water should be left for about an hour or so after adding the chlorine and chloramine remover before putting the water back into the tank. But that's just me being overprotective of my fish.

Also, bear in mind that once the white fluff is gone, it can leave behind an open wound that will take time to heal. Try not to relax for now, and keep working hard on keeping the water clean. This is only half the battle! :D
