    apitasia question

I just bought something called Aiptasia X today from a store that specializes in Corals. I have just a tiny piece that I treated tonight. He retracted when I got the syringe near him. Hopefully, just squirting this junk on him works. Has anyone heard of the Aiptasia X?

    Salinity Question

How do you calibrate it? I don't see any instructions on the package. It says to let salt water sit in it for 24 hours. That is what I am doing now. It is at 1.027 now after adding some fresh water a couple hours ago.

    Salinity Question

Sorry for the basic question... but I can't find the answer. I bought a Deep Six Hydrometer today for my new tank. My reading is 1.028. Does that mean I need to increase salt or add freshwater? I know they recommend 1.020-1.023.

    Live Rock Growth

Thanks Guys! This is good stuff. I guess you learn as you go, but half of this stuff all looks the same to me. Hopefully, it is easy to spot the bad stuff before it gets out of hand.

    Live Rock Growth

Does anyone have a link to a place that I can check out all of the common things that grow on live rock? I'm just getting started and I am seeing all sorts of things pop up and I don't know much about it. I'd rather do some research before asking about every little thing I see.
