I'm currently Running a Magnum 350 canister filter with Activated Carbon inside of it. Would I be better off removing the Carbon and installing Eheim Ceramic filter media. I was told by my LFS that the ceramic would be much better because the carbon removes to many trace elements. Any thoughts?

I purchased a sailfin tang about 2 weeks ago, and the tang is fine, but I have noticed black spots on my cleaner shrimp, in the last week. The shrimp has been around for about a month. There has been no behavior changes with it, just the black spots on its back. any ideas?
