I have the light on in the tank, but natural light. I can keep the window open. It's not by the window, but maybe 6 feet from it. The room gets a decent amount of light.

AWESOME shrimp!! I got a pond snail the size of a nickle it is yellow and black. I am going to do some small plants and I saw some cool Yellow cherry shrimp too. I will look into those shrimp your saying, but would they hurt the snail? They are pricy though, at about $5 each

JohnPaul, what should I have in for the crab if I get them? Some small live plants? a few things to climb and hide in?

OMG I want those mini crabs! I LOVE crabs, but then again I like the snail, I want a blue one. grrrr lol. lol I think the crabs will be more active and I can keep the Blue Ramshorn in my 5g when I move my shrimp out :) TY for the advice soo much. Hmm now where to get the crabs... lol

true about the tiny containers. I know many do just sit there but the one I had in a 10g was very active. I will see though.

Yeah I would think so, but I am getting mixed reviews. People say no to 2 Guppies, so a betta would be too big, but yet I see them in small things all the time. Someone on the other forum I am in says endlers? What do you think?

It's ok. Just sux. He was eating still, dont know what got him. His tail DID start to go a little black. Didnt think it was tail rot, but I could be wrong

these are indeed ghost shrimp the guy told me. The 1g is established and has been for 2 months. Can I add table salt to it? Can the mom be in the brackish wate?
